It couldn’t be helped. I decided before I went in the store that I would get the book if they had it.the fat quarters were on sale.. I had a pile.. There were some awesome decorator fabrics examples on closeout: all I could think of was the fancy dresses they’d make up. I did hold off from a fancy weave, but I’m still considering returning for it.

Of course it was there. On my ever growing pile, I added the book. As soon as I had time to myself after I got home (after everyone, including Ben, were in bed), I looked through all the patterns.

Before I went to bed, I had chosen the first one I would make. I set aside the fabric and went to sleep.

First thing this morning, Ben and I went for a run in the rain. (haha, thought I’d plonk right down and sew, didn’t you?)

Haus Sweet Haus, from Hillary Lang’s Wee Wonderfuls book turned out so sweet!

I saw a cute doll this weekend and decided to buy her. I have been doing better about not buying spur of the moment.. Yet, she looked so sweet that I went ahead. The Moxie Dolls are a little shorter than Barbie, with bigger heads. Almost a Pullip or Blythe crossed with Skipper. This one was dressed as Alice in Wonderland. And she was passed around and admired by all the children before I could get a picture.

Today (Sunday), the church had baptisms on the beach. On the drive there & back, I was able to try a couple patterns. The first didn’t work on her, but the second.. I finished the bodice during a movie tonight & like it as is, though the pattern calls for sleeves. The pattern is Long Tunic for the free Spirit Amigurumi pattern.
